1/1/13

Happy New Year??.... This was supposed to be posted way long ago. So this is what happened.

The "sampat" people like us who have not been on a train before decided to take the train to KL for the very first time. The lost sheeps departed from house at around 4.30 am and reached the Ipoh train station. Well, it was not as lonely and quiet as expected. Many people were also waiting to board the train. When the train came, we were wondering which coach to enter and was quite excited. When we were all settled down, well, everyone went to sleep like most people would do except for me. LOL..... This is how the interior looks like. Quite plasticky though. The noise is something people might not expect but it's a train, what can you complain more. It's a bullet train also... Din know they had a cafe and worse still a toilet. This is super LOL.... din go search though. Maybe next time.

Wanted to look outside for some scenery so badly but it was pitched black 6 am in the morning. Nothing could be seen. Dun have anything to do but watch the silent movie of the day "Clash of The Titans". Not bad watching that while listening to music. Without noticing, we finally reached KL Central. Though at first hesitated whether to leave the train or not, but since everyone was walking off, we decided to follow. Walla, it was the right decision. LOL.... Behold KL Sentral....

Our supposed tour guide got morning tantrums. She was enjoying too much the day before counting down, drinking alcohol and playing games. And she said she had no idea we were on such an early train. So, I started panicking. We have to spend some time on our own. But, do what? Started wondering around, we then found Mc'Donalds, the all time reliable breakfast provider and hang out place.

KL Sentral McDonald's

Yup, we sat at this position. Two tables. It was a public holiday, so the normal cheap RM 4 breakfast was not available. We decided to order the Big Breakfast Box Set B.

Box A (For 2-3 pax) @ RM19.90
- 1 Big Breakfast with 1 pc Hash Browns
- 1 Sausage McMuffin with Egg
- 2 pcs Hotcakes
- 1 pc Hash Browns
- 2 Coffee/Tea (M)

Box B (For 3-4 pax) @ RM24.90
- 1 Big Breakfast with 1 pc Hash Browns
- 1 Sausage McMuffin with Egg
- 1 Egg McMuffin with Chicken Roll
- 2 pcs Hotcakes
- 2pcs Hash Browns
- 3 Coffee/Tea (M)

To be honest, not very filling for 4 person. Or maybe I was just too hungry. Then we chat and eat and chat and eat, finally, the "dai siu jie" was fully awake and was on her way. I had to order another set of hotcakes for her. It cost like 10 bucks of something. Total suck off. Then we were well on our way to begin our journey in KL.

My very first experience on vehicles suspended in the air. Other words, it's called a LRT (Light Rail Transit).

The dumbos like us had no idea what to do next. Depending on our KL tour guide, this is how it should be done. First you have to buy your tickets to the destination you want. Thus, to know where you're going, here's the map for all the LRT stations in KL.

1. KL City Subway:
a) Light Rapid Transit (LRT), Kelana Jaya Line (previously called the PUTRA Line)
b) Light Rapid Transit (LRT), Ampang Line (previously called the STAR Line)

How to go to LRT Ampang Line from KL Sentral:
From KL Sentral, take LRT Kelana Jaya Line towards Gombak direction. Get off at Masjid Jamek station to change to Ampang Line.
Ampang LRT Line from KL Sentral Station

2. KL Monorail:

City loop Rapid KL monorail train, connecting KL Sentral to major attractions within Kuala Lumpur such as Jalan Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang and Times Square.

The following are the other services available to get to places such as Genting, KLIA, LCCT etc...

3. KLIA Ekspres:

Express Train (non-stop) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Takes only 28 minutes.

4. KLIA Transit:

Multi stop train from KL Sentral to Kuala Lumpur International Airport KLIA, stopping at Cyberjaya, Putra Jaya, Bandar Tasik Selatan and Salak Tinggi.

5. KTM Komuter:

connecting to five major township around KL, which are Rawang, Sentul, Port Klang & Seremban

6. KTM Intercity

Long haul train service to all rail destinations, as well as Bangkok and Singapore. KL Sentral is one of the station for TransAsia Railway Network that extends to Vietnam and China

After knowing all the routes and which LRT to take. This is what we did. We took the KL Monorail. First we bought tickets aka tokens because only the tour guide has touch & go card.

OK. So when you get your blue chip, you have to touch at the blue spot on the machine like above. It would then beep and the gates would open. REMEMBER: hold on to the chip till your destination or else you cant exit later. After entering, go up using the escalators and wait for the monorail to come. When it arrives, let others come out first, then only you bang all your way into it. The journey was smoother than expected unlike a bus which bounces here and there. You can choose to stand at ease. At times, it may be crowded till everyone was touching everyone like literal sardines in a can. So, ladies be careful.

We got off at the IMBI station cause we're going to Times Square. The place is so different from what i remembered from my childhood days. Well, we were just playing in the playground back then, LOL. Remember this...

We started walking round and round and round the place like crazy cause there were like infinite floors to finish. The christmas decorations kind of struck me a little.

And that piano stairs that i read somewhere before.

We walked around the first floor at first. When we enter Voir Gallery, we kind of stayed for quite sometime.

It was kind of because there was a long couch inside the store and was hidden from people outside. Everyone was sitting on it and didn't want to move their fat asses. LOL.. I love this brand G&H (Gene and Hue) and i think it has become one of my favourite brands besides Padini. Their collection is quite nice and not that expensive.

We had lunch at the Ayam Penyet Express. Malay-Indo food. Not very bad. Majority of us had the chicken sad. I ate the fish one (bawal/pomfret).

The chicken and fish was pretty good cause they were fried to crisp. The sambal was extra spicy but i liked it. The soup was this yellowy turmeric taste. Some may like it, others might puke drinking it. The tofu/beancurd like thing was also pretty disgusting. And the safe choice drinking lemon tea was always safe. I wanted to try the shop opposite but there were like tonnes of people inside. It's Pontian Wanton Noodles.

Looks pretty interesting right compared to the Indo Meal. LOL... After the shocking meal, we continued shopping like crazy. Ladies being ladies. After walking around like crazy, we were so exhausted. The tour guide wanted to split from the group and so we did. Hahaha. We went to a simple cafe at the bottom level called Sweet Chat Cafe.

Did you see those comfy chairs? It was those chairs that lured us to visit that cafe instead of the one beside it which is Meet Fresh (鲜芋仙). The chairs were stools and we can't lean. But the drinks were more tempting cause they were the blackball style taiwanese dessert.

Kind of regretted a lot afterwards cause we ordered this.

It's some kiwi something. Since we were not very hungry, 3 of us shared this. It tasted just so-so. Like normal dessert. But the worst part, the staff was extremely rude. Not sure because it was a busy day or we ordered too little stuff. But I don't think that was an excuse. We went straight up to the counter to ask for an extra bowl and spoon and guess what.... The staff totally ignored us and turned to do her work. We were like WTH. There was even service charge in the receipt. It's not like we were asking rudely or anything. Totally fooled by the luring looks of the place. We left. Duh... of course. Now that Taiwanese Dessert was such a regret cause I can't taste it in anytime soon.

Then we went hunting for screen protector for the tour guide's brand new iphone 5. Apparently, it's already old news holding an iphone 5. KL is really KL. I could see a lot of people holding one. This shop was pretty good. Only charged RM 10 for very basic but dedicated work in putting it on. Or maybe because the tour guide was just too pretty. LOL... She even went back to the same shop for the front part after doing the back part the previous time. Not sure the name of the shop cause its one of the stores along the Taiwan snacks street. Let me try. You enter from the front and the last lane before you turn right. It's next to a handbag shop i think. Couldn't remember much. But the guy was not bad. For a typical guy perhaps.

Then the group leader called us and said that they were at Toast Box and we have to go all the down again.

The egg was as awesome as the one above. I was really curious as to how they could have make it. They also said the curry laksa was nice. Din get to try though.

We got so bored of Times Square so we thought maybe we could visit Sungei Wang Plaza next door. There's a bridge that connects both sides that makes it easy. But it's quite noisy there too. Got a lot of people, nice and not so nice, hanging around that place. Girls should be aware. There's nothing much to talk about the place besides it being extremely low ceiling that my head almost touches it, there are loads of phone shops and it's just very very complicated and messy. All in all, not so nice place to shop. But there's still loads of people rushing in and out. And a lot of companies also like to held events over there. Not sure whether it's cheap or there's a contract. Maybe they should give it a facelift or something.

We then moved back to Times Square once again. It's almost time for us to get on our train ride, so we just simply ate at the food court. But then, it turns out we have to purchase the card. You may think it's quite complicated but then it's actually not really. The card cost around RM5 or RM10 and you just reload it with credit and pay when ordering food. The balance can be taken back by retrieving it at the counter.

After that, we walked around for a while and started heading back to KL Sentral. The line to get our tickets was extremely long but luckily we had time. Reached KL Sentral and there was actually a lot of time left. Everyone was super exhausted cause we woke up at like 3 am and walked throughout the whole day. But, I really did enjoy my very first new year in KL as a holiday and trip instead of working. It was awesome. The tour guide then left as she still has to go to work tomolo. When our train arrived, everyone was rushing down. Hahaha, i still remember saying this, which was quite embarassing for some reason "Malaysian mentality, already got ticket and place for you, why still have to rush". LOL... That's what makes us Truly Malaysians i supposed. Signing off for now. XOXO =DDD

PS: i got the photos from google cause was not able to take any photos that day. But i picked the photos that closely resemble what I've experienced. Credits go to the original owners. Muackkksss....

2013… The Next Level.

It’s the final hours of 2012 and yes, I’m still alive. Have not bored to death yet though. Haha. 2012 has indeed been one quite nice year. I’ve had so many my “First Times” throughout the year and the experience was immense. 2 years ago, so many things seemed impossible. Though today is not perfect but i can say that my life has gotten much better.

Year 2013 is going to be a big mark in my life and it’s time to bring the game to the next level. People may call it resolutions, others may call it goals. I just try to accomplish them within the time frame.
Wishing to reduce my childishness behaviour and build more maturity and independency within me. With a recent gadget upgrade, i think i can love myself time a lot more.

Next, try to have better “SKIN” as in of course better self presentation. Learn to look better at an economic cost of course. Not sure it’s possible within the short time frame but i really want to try and make acne go away.

I wanna learn Korean so badly too. Hope I have the determination to study it. If I succeed, then I could travel to Korea one day and have fun. If only i had the talent to sing or dance, maybe I could enter the Kpop industry too. LOL. This is just me daydreaming. Gotta work those vocals hard….
Like I’ve mentioned previously, improve greatly + tremendously on my PR skills. That’s one of the key essential surviving tool in this materialistic yet not so kind world. You never know how much truth there is in anyone’s talking. To say it nicely is that they’re being polite sarcastically, in other words they’re gonna backstab you when ever possible.

Learn that it’s everyone’s right to enjoy luxury. It’s not a crime. Just remember the bad times and treat others with respect they deserve. Once you’re capable, help those who are deserving and yet incapable of helping themselves.

Lastly, I foresee 2013 to be a challenging yet anticipated year. Nothing’s easy in the world right. Just hope that the bumps and potholes along the road gets lesser day by day. If this year turns out to be miraculously smooth, I’m gonna be on top of the world. Let’s just hope the same goes for the others who are wishing the same thing.

Wishing you all out there from the deepest of my heart, Happy 2013 and may the year ahead be an awesome journey in your life. Signing off for now. XOXO =DD

PS: I feel so bad for not texting or tweet or fb my friends to greet Happy New Year. I guess it's the intention and heart that counts. Throwing it all out here helps to release the inner tension and at the same time no other people have to take up the tension to think of ways to console me. I'm not sure why I'm not comfortable telling others anymore. Guess I'll have to learn to deal with things alone and independently. LOL... tomorrow should be fun. Arghhh, i want to go watch a concert of my favourite artist or something like that suddenly.

2012, The End ???...

Well, it's been quite some time. Recently, i've just opened a new account at wordpress.com. This was after reading reviews about how good it was and well, got to know it's something like tumblr at the free stage. Anything more you want, you've got to pay for it. Maybe, its more of a microblogging tool. The wordpress.org is said to be the better and more advanced version and i did try it out but it got way out of my hands. I did struggle a little setting up blogger but the wordpress one was just not in my league. Anyways, i did migrate all my stuff from my real "name" account to that since its new, nobody will see it. HAHA.

Everyone is saying that it's the last Friday of 2012, how are you celebrating yours? The thing is there's gonna be another last saturday, sunday, monday of 2012... How are you gonna celebrate them all? Maybe it just so happens that they fall on the weekend. Weee for all the people that gets to celebrate. And I'm just stuck at home doing nothing and writing this instead.

Let's look back at how I got through 2012. I remembered that I asked for a smooth ride throughout and the ride was pretty smooth till now but i can't deny that there were a few big potholes and hills that got in the way. I learned so much this year and have so many "first times" of my life. Downside is of course i got worse results. It was going down the roller coaster ride.

I've got to see so many of my friends that get to leave Malaysia for studies and some even got to travel to places such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, USA, Australia, China and etc. I must admit though, I haven been to even KL much, dun even try to mention outstation trips. Really hoped that one day I can get to travel when I want to and see great places and have fun like all normal people can and not get stuck because of financial constraints. Missed so many trips and rejected so many outing offers enough for others to get frustrated to try and ask anymore.

I was wishing things can turn around much as in environment wise but I think I should look into myself too. When I kind of think back, onli if others enjoy your presence would someone take the extra effort to try and convince you to come right. Not because they sympathize you for not having any company. I should really work on my PR skills real bad. How to actually make people to like me for who I am and not mold me into this person that people would like? This is really killing my brain cells.

Whenever I see rich brats buy stuffs like money was just printed paper I would get so upset, maybe not just upset but angry. Just because you can does not mean you have to. Think of all the people who does not have the privilege. Well, I can only say, enjoy while you can. What goes around comes around. Not being evil-minded though.

Got so off topic. I was also wishing to reconnect with people who was once in my life but then i guessed everyone moved on. You see them posting pictures and posts and what? you comment and that ends there. I see them face to face, and I can only stand and can't say a word. Tell them what? I was kind of regretting today that I told them about me, my personal stuffs. Not expecting any kind of sympathy and I just, maybe its just me, always get the sympathy look. So, if I was doing well today, would they be happy for me. Would they be happy that i was not that person once so desperate and suicidal? I really have no idea what they would think.

People say, the longer you stay with a person, the more you know about them. And the fact is, they are not the people who I once knew, maybe physically the same but urghhh, i dont know how to describe. Maybe I'm just anti-social or something.

I was given the book Unstoppable: The Power of Faith in Action by Nick Vujicic. Supposed to be motivational, undeniable fact i supposed. He's already in that condition and the things he can do. Maybe I should just try and be more positive about the world and try to ignore what people might think of me and just do the right thing. What goes around, comes around right? Karma I believe is what helps balances the world. Signing off for now. XOXO.

Love or Hate??

Life's like a piece of old newspaper
Crumbled and never returning the favour
Things are never as easy as black and white
Hidden within like the spectrum of light

Love and hate, lie and break
I'll always be that piece of cake
Live to love, forgive to forget
Wished it was as simple as that

We used to say
Hello, how are you?
But now its became
I'm sorry, who are you?

So, there it goes
There's nothing I can do
Just go with flow
Someday it'll all glow

You were the gravity of my world
Now you're just another dust particle
You threw me out like paper plane
You'll never have that chance again

Don't act like you knew the real me
Like you were all I needed in me
You've never seen me behind walls
I know you'd want to see me fall.

We used to say
Hello, how are you?
But now its became
I'm sorry, who are you?

Love and hate, lie and break
I knew I had to take a break
Live to love, forgive to forget
If only it could be as simple as that

Like i've mentioned, i'm no music genius but i kinda like to write songs. i tried to send this to Kurt Hugo Schneider but then i've had no reply. Really would love to learn to compose or learn music one day if i have the means to a guitar or piano or maybe a violin. Just maybe one day. For now, any nice people out there would love to give this song a shot is most welcome.

My upcoming projects would include

  1. Haunted
  2. That Boy
  3. The Waiter Song

There are some others i had in mind but just couldnt remember. This kinda happens all the time. everytime i have like this awesome tune then like half an hour later i forget everything. Maybe i should record it or something next time. But then, what for? The question i had in mind. it's not like i'm a great singer or a fulll time music maker. Well, i'm just writing music to express the things i go through. Just see how it all turns out.

For now, i have to get to bed. Nitez y'all. =DD

Moon or Sun??

The sun is never the moon at night
Like the moon is never seen in light
Seven colours within the spectrum of light
You'll never know which will suit you right

I'll try to choose one with you in sight
Though I know you'll never know inside.
Light like life or life like light
Pick either one left or right.
